Infamous Book Review

Hi Guys,
I'm sorry I haven't posted a review this past week, but I've been at my marching band's band camp. Ugh! I'm sore, and tired, so I'm writing this review in, some-what of a, daze. This is 1 of the 6 books I have yet to review this summer. I'm going to try to post the other reviews soon, but until then, here is my review of Infamous by Sherrilyn Kenyon. This is the third book in the, action-packed, Chronicles of Nick series, and this book didn't disappoint. I finished this book when it was released, and I'm sorry I'm just now doing the review. Anyway, here is the Goodreads synopsis:

Go to school. Get good grades. Stay out of trouble. That’s the mandate for most kids. But Nick Gautier isn’t the average teenager. He’s a boy with a destiny not even he fully understands. And his first mandate is to stay alive while everyone, even his own father, tries to kill him.
He’s learned to annihilate zombies and raise the dead, divination and clairvoyance, so why is learning to drive and keep a girlfriend so dang hard? But that isn’t the primary skill he has to master. Survival is.
And in order to survive, his next lesson makes all the others pale in comparison. He is on the brink of becoming either the greatest hero mankind has ever known, or he’ll be the one who ends the world. With enemies new and old gathering forces, he will have to call on every part of himself to fight or he’ll lose everyone he cares about. Even himself.

My first impression of this book was good, I'd read and loved the first two books in this series (Infinity and Invincible), so I knew I would love this book as well. This is my favorite cover of the series so far, and I also love how thick each of these books are, and I just fly through each one of them. I can't really say what happened in this book because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. This book was very action-packed, and so many questions were answered, and so many more questions were made. I loved reading about the old characters, and getting to meet new ones. I laughed so many times in this book, and that's one thing I like about this series. I love being able to read a chapter that would seem so serious, but end up laughing because of Nick's sarcastic humor. That's about as much as I can say, without spoiling anything at all. Overall I give this book 4/5 stars. This book was great, but it just wasn't a 5-star to me for some reason. I'm not sure, I just feel more comfortable giving this book a 4. The next book in the series, Inferno, is set to release March 4, 2013. I'm very excited to read it, I look forward to sitting on the edge of my seat, and laughing my butt off, in March. You guys should definitely check this series out, and let me know what you think of this series if you've already read it.

I believe my next book review will be on Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, but it might be on Wake by Lisa McMann, but most likely Shiver.

Invincible Book Review

Hi Guys,
This week I will be reviewing Invincible by Sherrilyn Kenyon, it's a great series. I reviewed the first book in the series, Infinity, earlier this year. So if you haven't read the first book yet, then you might not want to read this review for Spoiler reasons. I thought it was cool how I put the Book Trailer for Plague up last week. I liked it so much that I decided to do it for every book review. I just thought it would make this blog original, because I haven't seen a book review where they post the book trailer for it as well. So you can be looking forward to the book trailer of Invincible at the end of this post. Here is the summary for Invincible:

Nick Gautier’s day just keeps getting better and better. Yeah, he survived the zombie attacks, only to wake up and find himself enslaved to a world of shapeshifters and demons out to claim his soul.

His new principal thinks he’s even more of a hoodlum than the last one, his coach is trying to recruit him to things he can’t even mention and the girl he’s not seeing, but is, has secrets that terrify him.

But more than that, he’s being groomed by the darkest of powers and if he doesn’t learn how to raise the dead by the end of the week, he will become one of them...

My first impression of this book was good, it looked Gothic but not grimy like the other one looked to me. I was really pleased to see that they had another tribal looking circle tattoo thing on the cover as well. I was really looking forward to this book, I really liked the first one, it was funny, sarcastic, action packed, drama filled, and very supernatural. This book was not a let down. It was superb, it was even more funny and sarcastic and supernatural than the first. I loved this book, it kept me laughing for a while even after I finished the book. I give this book 4/5 stars because the last 50 pages seemed rushed to me. I was looking forward to a great final battle, but it ended really abruptly and I was disappointed by that and that alone. Infinity Book Review

Hi Guys,
I'm a little saddened by today, my copy of The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Midnight, was supposed to come in the mail today... (but it didn't) also it is raining where I'm at. :( So instead of moping around reading a book that has me depressed right now, I decided to go ahead and do the book review for this week. This weeks book review is on Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon. You may know Sherrilyn Kenyon from her Adult books, but this is a book for the Young Adults. Here is the summary from the front flap of the book:

At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.
Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.
But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.

My first impression of this book was that it looked okay. I was astounded by the cover, but it looked interesting enough for me to pick up and read the front flap of it. By reading the front flap, I saw that I was going to fall in love with this book. I was correct, it was a definately good book. It had everything I liked for example: vampires, werewolves, zombies, and demon slayers. I can't really say that much more without spoiling it, but I will tell you the grade I give it. I give it 4/5 stars. It was definately a good book, but just that... a good book. I hope you guys check it out. Also the second book in this series comes out next Tuesday. I hope you guys like it. :)
